I was born in Queensboro in 1969 but moved soon enough after to Long Island. Soon enough showed strong interests in mathematics and music, did published independent (hee- with lots of help, of course!) work in mathematics (combinatorics, in the Fibonacci Quarterly) in my senior year of high school and some minor composition in early college along with light viola playing. Decided that music listening, research, advocacy, writing were what I was more suited to than performance and composition, and any of them than mathematics, but it took, I think, until after I got through my first two years of graduate school and got no further, to decide this. All this time was eventful in other ways - in 1995, just around the end of my graduate school years, I was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, and that's proved remarkably accurate and explanatory though hardly the sum total of my life experience ;^) - and I got into political activism also for awhile; and now -- well, now I work in a few different jobs mostly in the Ithaca area, I listen to music and etc. as I'd hoped to and sometimes get my writings about the subject published (and not just self-published, either), and I get to meet interesting people locally and, via internet, around the world. I feel the hypocrite for repeating this but, busy people find time.
